The Manfredi Research Station provided data corresponding to the VN Subregion: the weather variation that characterized the crop cycle is shown on table 1. The photothermal ratio along the 2021 growing season was favorable during the crop critical period, that is, from September 15 to October 15. The critical crop period is relevant because it defines the number of grains. On the other hand, monthly potential evapotranspiration averages showed a marked deficit. This continued along most of the season, except for November, leading to low yield: only 2500 kg/h under rainfed, while under irrigation yields were above 5000 kg/h.
