Wheat growing area returned to historical numbers. Weather conditions were favorable since the beginning of the year and allowed farmers to plant with the right technologies and adequate fertilization.

In some regions, planting was delayed for excess soil moisture while in others, flooding prevented proper sowing.

Spring started with favorable conditions too, with rains in average values or a little above.

Resistant weeds made control difficult.  ??????Yellow rust (Puccinia striiformis) forced farmers to use chemical controls with adequate fungicides, something absolutely unusual in this region. Very susceptible varieties required a second application of fungicides.

November brought two frosts, one in the first days of the month and the other in the second fortnight; they affected plots in susceptible stages. Damage depended on frost intensity and ground contour.

???Nevertheless, the crop could complete its cycles properly.

Harvest was at usual times, with high yields and commercial and industrial qualities higher than last year.
